Vino started his American adventure with a flight from Milan, an overnight stop in Frankfurt, and then a connection on to Washington-Dulles. He’s barely stopped since then.
Vino has a wide variety of talents and interests. He’s helped us negotiate car and house purchases. As a Halloween baby, he was eligible for and won CDCA Best in Sweeps two years in a row. He quickly earned his AKC CH, and he’s now an AKC GCH, as well as a UKC CH and multiple group and Best Veteran in Show winner. He’s won multiple ribbons at Westminster.
Vino is one of the fastest electronically-timed Canaan Dogs ever, and an aficionado of canine skijoring.
But perhaps Vino’s most important contribution to the breed has been as a sire. He’s fathered four beautiful, healthy litters, which have included a German champion and two of the top AKC GCHs in history.
He’s also passed on to some of his progeny his six-foot-plus vertical leap and ability to open crates, gates, and doors —skills that keep us on our toes.
Thank you, Vino, for all you’ve added to our lives and to the Canaan Dog breed, and we look forward to your next adventures.
