Cayman (as in Grand Cayman Island) was a product
of the first two AKC Grand Champions (Harry x Vala).
This litter was deemed the "Grand" litter and all the puppies carried a grand reference in their call names. Cayman was a stand out from 4 weeks old. We lovingly called him the "puff-a-lump", as he was very fuzzy and round as a baby puppy. He then grew into a very handsome Canaan Dog.
Cayman has many breed accolades and accomplishments. Most notably he won the CDCA National Specialty in 2018 from the veteran class, Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed, and multiple AKC group placements.
Most of all, Cayman has been a steady and unwavering companion for the past fifteen years. His calm temperament and soulful eyes have won the hearts of all who meet him. He has helped to usher new people into the breed and the conformation ring.
Cayman is truly a grand Canaan Dog and we look forward to more years with his wonderful presence.
As always, special thanks to the late Judy Rosenthal, Amanda Pough, Jackie & Donna Davison for being a huge part in making this all happen.
